NEW JOB - Production Planning Coordinator

PRODUCTION PLANNING COORDINATOR

Pacific Stone Ltd - When First Impressions Count

This newly created Production Planning Coordinator role is driven by Pacific Stone’s continued growth and the need to optimise the links between Sales, Production, Office and Accounts, Installers and Suppliers.

Pacific Stone are a leading supplier and fabricator of quality handcrafted surfaces, all made to order from stunning natural and engineered Stone and Porcelain products. They measure, fabricate and install beautiful granite, marble, stone, engineered stone and porcelain for kitchens, bathrooms, fire hearths, reception counters and a host of commercial spaces.

Based in Tauranga, you will assist the Production Manager in optimising the planning and scheduling processes, by reviewing production specifications, minimising times and costs, maximising resource efficiencies and looking after the purchasing and documentation control process. You will be a key communication link between the teams, a confident user of Microsoft Office Suite and a whizz with Excel spreadsheets.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Developing planning and scheduling tools and processes, using existing systems
  • Ordering materials
  • Processing production orders 
  • Coordinating and planning production
  • Communicating on any production delays and resolving any problems
  • Scheduling and planning of upcoming installs
  • Preparing quotes and estimates
  • Monitoring of project deadlines and outcomes
  • Assisting with scheduling and job coordination

To be successful in this role you will have:
  • Relevant experience in a similar production, planning and scheduling position within a trades / manufacturing / fabrication and install type business.
  • The ability to think critically and conceptually
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • A high standard of written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to multi-task and work well under pressure
  • High level of administration skills and experience with production planning programmes such as Moraware, Empower, and Excel.

High attention to detail and accuracy is critical, as is an organised approach to your work and the ability to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
